For weddings at venues in and around Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, Perthshire, Fife, Angus, Aberdeen, and most places in between we are currently quoting in the region of £1500 for a full evening’s entertainment (up to 4hrs). Get in touch for a quick quote if your venue is further afield – we play all over Scotland, the UK, and Europe! Any destination considered.

For all other events get in touch for a bespoke quote – we’ll do our best to offer an affordable and entertaining option to suit your plans for the evening.

For most English venues we are currently quoting in the region of £2500 + overnight accommodation. Alternatively, for ceilidhs in England check out our London based mates The Sassenachs for authentic Scottish ceilidh south of the border!

Our standard rates rely on the band having access to the stage area to set up during the 1hr prior to ceilidh kick off, which suits the majority of events and venues. If desired or required we offer a variety of early set up options starting from just £75.

Secure your date now with a £250 deposit. Card payments accepted. Chosen time slot can be decided closer to the time of your event. Final balancing payment due 4 weeks before your event date.

Flexible programme options

Check out our sample programme options for an idea of typical timings and how you can make a Sporran Again ceilidh the perfect addition to your event. Timings are totally flexible so let us know what you have in mind and we’ll do our best to slot an exciting hit of Scottish ceilidh music and dancing into whatever else you might have planned for the night.

4hr Ceilidhs

A full evening’s entertainment – perfect for weddings and larger family celebrations!

(Typical time slots: 7pm – 11pm, 8pm – 12am or similar)

Sample 4hr programme:

Dancing 8pm – 12am Wedding…

  • 7pm – Band arrives on site. Begin set up as soon as access becomes available.
  • 8pm – Entertainment begins: Cake cutting, first dance, ceilidh kick-off!
  • 9.30pm – Buffet break (30mins) Background music or DJ.
  • 10pm – Dancing resumes with ceilidh or a mix of ceilidh and disco.
  • 11.35pm – Big finale. Orcadian Strip the Willow, Auld Lang Syne, etc.
  • 12am – Closing remarks. End of night.

3hr Ceilidhs

Perfectly paced for parties where ceilidh dancing is the main event or as extended post-dinner entertainment!

(Typical time slots: 7.30pm – 10.30pm , 8pm – 11pm or similar)

Sample 3hr programmes:

Dancing 8pm – 11pm e.g. Ceilidh as main event…

  • 7pm – Band arrives on site. Load in before guests arrive, begin set up.
  • 7.30pm – Doors. Background music up and running.
  • 8pm – Ceilidh kicks off whenever you are ready!
  • 9.30pm – Break (20 mins). Background music or DJ.
  • 9.50pm – Dancing resumes with ceilidh or a mix of ceilidh and disco.
  • 10.35pm – Big finale, Orcadian Strip the Willow, Auld Lang Syne, etc.
  • 11pm – Closing remarks. End of night.

OR

Dancing 9pm – 12am e.g. As post-dinner entertainment…

  • 8pm – Band arrives on site. Set up during later stages of meal.
  • 9pm – Ceilidh kicks off whenever you’re ready. Radio mic available for any speeches, presentations.
  • 10.30pm – Break (20mins). Background music or DJ.
  • 10.50pm – Dancing resumes with ceilidh or a mix of ceilidh and disco.
  • 11.35pm – Big finale, Orcadian Strip the Willow, Auld Lang Syne, etc.
  • 12am – Closing remarks. End of night.

2hr Ceilidhs

Fast paced, perfect for getting the party started or as an exciting blast of post-dinner entertainment!

(Typical time slots: 7.30pm – 9.30pm , 8pm – 10pm , 9pm – 11pm or similar)

Sample 2hr programmes:

Weddings:
Dancing 8pm – 10pm e.g. first half of evening

  • 7pm – Band arrives on site. Set up as soon as access becomes available.
  • 8pm – Cake cutting, first dance, and ceilidh kick-off! Ceilidh dancing runs straight through with quick breathers offered between dances as needed.
  • 9.45pm – Big Orcadian Strip the Willow to finish off the ceilidh side of things.
  • 10pm – Evening buffet served / background music / band packs up / hand over to next act

Dinner dances , student balls, etc:

2hr / Set finish time:
Dancing 9pm – 11pm e.g. post-dinner entertainment

  • 8pm – Band arrives on site. Set up during later stages of meal.
  • 9pm – Ceilidh kicks off whenever you’re ready! Dancing runs straight through with quick 2min breathers offered between dances as needed. Short DJ set optional as part of overall mix of entertainment.
  • 10.35pm – Big finale, Orcadian Strip the Willow, Auld Lang Syne, etc.
  • 11pm – Closing remarks.

2hr / Flexible finish time – perfect for relaxed black tie dining!
Typical timings: band arrives on site for 7.30pm (as guests are being seated). Set up happens in the background during your meal, ready for ceilidh kick off anytime from 8.45pm onwards. Flexible finish time (up to 12am latest) for a full 2hrs worth of ceilidh following your meal. Ceilidh dancing runs straight through with quick 2min breathers between dances as needed. All dances called. Early set up option available if you prefer to have the band set up before guests arrive.
